Do I Need an Attorney for an Uncontested Action?

I am an attorney who was admitted to practice law in South Carolina in 1989. For nearly ten years, I have been a private practitioner in Charleston, South Carolina. My primary areas of focus are Family and Probate Court. I routinely handle divorce, child custody and support actions, in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley Counties; however, I can also handle cases in other counties as the need arises. I work out of a home office on James Island. This is an arrangement that my clients and I find practical and comfortable. Working out of home office, I am better able to control my office expenses and can pass those savings on to my clients. For people who are interested in mediating their domestic disputes, I have been certified as a Family Court Mediator by the South Carolina Board of Arbitrator and Mediator Certification.
